Postsecondary Education Access for Latino Middle Grades Students

The PALMS Project seeks to improve the lives of Latino youth by opening doors to postsecondary education. The project focuses on the middle grades as it is a time when students make choices & develop the knowledge & skills that can take them through high school & beyond. For students who are the first in their families to attend college, early planning & preparation is especially important. PALMS disseminates practical, research-based resources about how to effectively equip & support Latino students and their families in the pursuit of education beyond high school. Information on this site can assist secondary schools, college access programs, & community-based organizations in their commitment to provide Latinos with an education of the highest quality. The PALMS website is at http://www.palmsproject.net/ .
