Hispanic children with autism more likely to have learning, speech problems

Hispanic children diagnosed with autism had an almost twofold increased risk of having a learning disability or speech disorder than other patients, a study showed. Researchers noted that anxiety disorders were more prevalent among white children compared with blacks. The findings were presented at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry meeting.
