Feds Blog Promotes Restorative Justice and Stop Bullying Practices
States and districts are
increasingly in support of policies & practices that shift school discipline
away from zero tolerance, such as suspension & expulsion, to discipline that
is focused on teaching and engagement. To this effort, districts & states
are rethinking discipline & adopting both Restorative Justice
Practices (RJP) &
Bullying Prevention (BP) as school-wide efforts to provide school staff with a
set of preventative & responsive strategies to supporting positive student
behaviors. http://blog.ed.gov/2016/03/restorative-justice-practices-and-bullying-prevention/?utm_content=&utm_medium=email&utm_name=&utm_source=govdelivery&utm_term=
