A yearlong pilot project at Oakridge
Elementary School in Arlington, Va., showed using pedal desks, standing balance
desks and ball chairs led to behavioral improvements among students, said
teachers, parents and pupils. Principal Lynne Wright said teachers found
students were more cooperative and less disruptive, and they did better at
