U.K. school uses robots to help students with autism improve social skills

A primary school in Birmingham, U.K., is using a robot to teach social skills to students with autism. The robot acts as a miniature person, making it easier for a student to have verbal interactions and learn eye contact and other social cues. "The robots act in a more human way, and the children come to respect this piece of plastic," teacher Sarah Quickenden said.
