Districts use robots to instruct students with autism

School districts are using robots to teach social and communication skills to students with autism. New York City's special education District 75 uses NAO robots to respond verbally or with gestures, play learning games and read books to the students, who often respond better to the machine than to their human teachers. A district in New Jersey is having its high-school engineering students program robots to work with elementary-age students with autism.
