Study looks at supports for poor, rural students with special needs
A recent Kansas State University study found a strong relationship between rural poverty and developmental and educational outcomes and, as a result, the researchers came up with three tips for those working with low-income students or those with special needs in rural areas. Their suggestions: improve programs for female students with special needs, consider the difficulties of low-income families when establishing parent programs and advocate for anti-poverty efforts.
