What Can You Do?

The What Can YOU Do? Web site www.whatcanyoudocampaign.org is the centerpiece of the Campaign for Disability Employment, which seeks to promote positive employment outcomes for people with disabilities. Working to raise awareness and change attitudes, the Campaign for Disability Employment's What Can YOU Do? public education effort reinforces that people with disabilities want to work & that their talents & abilities positively impact businesses financially & organizationally.

What can families and educators do? Help young people with disabilities dream big! Encourage young people with disabilities please to think about and share their career aspirations on the What Can YOU Do? Web site's online youth forum.

The Campaign Web site offers education & outreach tools designed to engage employers, people with disabilities, family & educators, & the general public & tools & tangible ideas for supporting the Campaign's goals. A library of video public service announcements (PSAs) features creative spots that challenge assumptions about people with disabilities and employment--including the winners of the What Can YOU Do? video contest & the Campaign's flagship What Can YOU Do? PSA, intended for nationwide television broadcast.

The Campaign for Disability Employment is a collaborative effort between the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), the National Business and Disability Council (NBDC), Special Olympics (SO), and the U.S. Business Leadership Network (USBLN). It is also supported by West Virginia University.
