Software helps students w/ learning disabilities improve literacy
Educators in Surrey, British Columbia, are seeing positive results from using a U.S. software program to help improve the reading skills of students who have learning disabilities. The Fast ForWord program was designed to change the way sounds are processed by students who have difficulties with language and literacy. Many students have progressed through multiple reading levels and have gained confidence in school since the district began using the program in 2008, officials said. http://www.vancouversun.com/technology/Computer+helps+kids+read+more/3554358/story.html
