Hypertension Tied to Learning Disabilities in Children

A study in Pediatrics of 201 children ages 10 to 18 found that those with high blood pressure were four times as likely to have learning disabilities, including ADHD, as children with normal blood pressure. Researchers said additional study is needed to understand the connection between hypertension and cognitive function in children.
