Research Sheds light on Aspects of ADHD
Growing scientific evidence, including the identification of genes and hormones associated with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, are helping to debunk myths surrounding the condition and the use of it as a societal metaphor for increasing distractions and decreasing attention spans. "There's a lot we still don't know," one expert said. "But we know enough to say it is a brain-based disorder, and we have some idea about which circuits are involved and which genes."
