Apps help address challenges for students w/ autism

Applications for Apple's iPads and iPod Touch devices are being used to help address some of the challenges faced by students with autism in and out of the classroom. Applications -- some that allow students to check the weather forecast or learn new terminology they may encounter during an outing -- let students maintain needed structure. Other programs help students build social skills or aid in communication. Daily Herald (Chicago) (3/1)
