Author w/ autism shares her experiences w/ speech therapists

Author & speaker Deborah Lipsky, who has autism, offered insight on working with students who have the disorder at a recent seminar for speech therapists in the New Orleans area. Lipsky stressed the importance of routines for students with autism. She suggested that therapists & educators teach students a few basic phrases to help them navigate difficult social situations.
