Study looks at impact of iPads, iPhones on students w/ disabilities
A research project at the University of Toronto aims to determine whether devices such as iPads and iPhones are effective in improving communication for children with autism and other disabilities. The study so far has produced positive results. "These touch devices are in some ways bridging communications deficits that students who are non-verbal and who have some kind of developmental disorder have," professor Rhonda McEwen said.
