Autism-friendly entertainment to make its Broadway debut
As part of its effort to make theater accessible to all people, the Theatre Development Fund on Broadway will hold a performance of Disney's "The Lion King," which will be altered to reduce flashing lights and sudden noises for people with autism. During the show, Broadway's Minskoff Theater will be staffed by autism experts. "Our goal is to be as inclusive as possible, welcoming families with children and adults on the autism spectrum," said Lisa Carling, director of the Theatre Development Fund's accessibility programs.
