Virtual worlds allow U.K. students with autism to practice social skills

Researchers with the University of London and the London Knowledge Lab are using touch-screen technology and an interactive environment for teaching social skills to children with autism. The Echoes Project has children responding to simulated social scenarios in a virtual environment, which researchers say allows them to experiment without real-world consequences.
