Social network is designed for students w/ autism

A new social media platform is designed specifically for children with autism spectrum disorders. Squag.com was developed by Sarah Winter -- a dedicated aide to her nephew who has autism -- and her family, as an avenue for improving students' communication skills and social interactions. "We wanted to engage in a community of kids who were part of a generation of autism, which did a lot of on face therapy for years, and give them a place where they could come up with thoughts on their own as opposed to being told to do it," Winter said. "Youths are so proficient in technology these days." Financial Post (Canada) (2/8)  http://business.financialpost.com/2012/02/08/social-network-squag-aims-to-be-a-safe-place-for-autistic-kids/
