U.K. nurse is advocate for those with learning disabilities
Nurse consultant and senior lecturer Jim Blair has become an advocate for the rights of individuals with learning disabilities in the United Kingdom. He is calling on government officials to adopt several reforms to the country's health care system, including the creation of "patient passports" that foster improved medical care for those with learning difficulties. "It is really important that we look at this as a human rights issue," Blair said.
