More U.S. youths are diagnosed with ADHD, study shows
The number of children and teens in the U.S. diagnosed with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder from 2000 to 2010 increased by 66% to 10.4 million in 2010. Researchers reported in the journal Academic Pediatrics that more ADHD diagnoses were made by specialists instead of primary care doctors.
