Disneyland told to study use of Segways for visitors with disabilities
The U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Wednesday that Disneyland should study the potential use of two-wheeled Segway transportation devices in its theme park for visitors with disabilities. "Technological advances didn't end with the powered wheelchair," the court said in its ruling, which reversed a lower-court decision in favor of Disney. The theme park had refused to allow a visitor to use a Segway, prompting the lawsuit under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
