Ontario adults with autism receive few services after graduation

This article explores the uncertain future faced by Ontario, Canada, adults with autism spectrum disorders after they graduate from high school. The advocacy group Autism Ontario issued a report in 2008 calling for more coordinated services and disability funding for adults with ASD, but, so far, government agencies have yet to respond, officials say. Instead, most adults with autism appear to be jobless and living with their parents because few day, respite and group programs are available that can meet their needs.
