Early exposure to domestic violence may raise ADHD risk, study says
Exposure to both intimate partner violence and parental depression before age 3 was linked to a greater risk of developing attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, according to a study in the journal JAMA Pediatrics. Children whose parents had depressive symptoms also were more likely to be prescribed with psychotropic drugs, researchers said.
