Studies look at how autism is different for girls, boys

Two studies to be presented at the International Meeting for Autism Research expect to show that boys and girls with autism may have different genetics and symptoms. Researchers at Emory University found that girls who made more eye contact have more severe social disability, but boys who made more eye contact had less social impairment. A study from Yale University found that girls require more genetic mutations than boys to develop autism.
