Comic-book lessons appeal to people with developmental disabilities
Staff members at the Arc of Buffalo County in Kearney, Neb., have taken a basic computer class to the next level by offering classes on comic-book creation to individuals with disabilities. The class was launched as part of the Arc's Teens in Action program, but it is open to individuals with disabilities of all ages. Officials say the class is visually appealing and can help reinforce reading skills. Omaha World-Herald (Neb.) (10/25) http://www.omaha.com/article/20131025/LIVEWELL01/131029179/1707
