Website provides news articles in multiple reading levels


Educators using news articles in the classroom now have access to a free online tool that can make such materials more accessible to struggling readers and English-language learners, according to high-school librarian Joyce Valenza. In this blog post, she highlights free news site Newsela. The website offers news articles in five text-complexity levels and quizzes that are adjusted for multiple Lexiles, she notes.
