Inconsistent bedtime schedule linked to behavior issues in children

Children who had an irregular bedtime schedule were more likely to have behavioral issues than those with a more consistent schedule, according to a study in the journal Pediatrics. The longer children were following inconsistent bedtimes, the greater the severity of behavioral problems. However, researchers said that 3- to 5-year-olds who went from having an irregular bedtime to a regular one by age 7 had significant improvements in behavior.
