Federal Guide Spells out Rules Airlines must Follow when Passengers have Developmental Disabilities


The busiest travel season of the year is coming soon, a stressful time for travelers that can be especially challenging for individuals with disabilities who are using commercial airlines. A new guide from the U.S. Department of Transportation spells out the rules air carriers must follow under the Air Carrier Access Act when their customers have autism or other developmental disabilities. The guide answers questions frequently asked by travelers with disabilities and their families and provides practical advice for fliers.
