Keeping Parents Informed - Evidenced Based Practices in Education
The Institute of Education Sciences (IES) is the statistics, research,
and evaluation arm of the U.S. Department of Education. Their mission is to
provide scientific evidence on which to ground education practice & policy
and to share this information in formats that are useful and accessible to
educators, parents, policymakers, researchers, & the public. Using filters,
parents can find out about the latest
programs that have evidence of effectiveness for students with disabilities
in K-12 grades. Ask your child's school about these programs to see how they
could be included in your child's special education program.
