Study links parental obesity, developmental delays in children

Researchers found that obesity in fathers and mothers may affect their children's development, including a higher chance of failing problem-solving tests. The study in Pediatrics associated obesity in fathers with a 75% higher risk of failing social competency measures in children and found that children of obese mothers were more likely to experience delays in developing their fine motor skills, compared with children of normal-weight parents.    CNN (1/3),  Tech Times (1/2)
