In
observation of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Jennifer Sheehy,
deputy assistant secretary of labor for disability employment policy, posted a
blog on the Department of Labor site, reflecting on the NDEAM theme “Inclusion
Drives Innovation.” Sheehy noted that many technology innovations were created
by and for people with disabilities, including the development of the first
email system. “More than ever, job creators today can use resources and
technology to include Americans of all abilities and benefit from more
innovation,” said Sheehy.
