CDC: Pregnancy spacing linked to ASD risk


CDC researchers found that second- or later-born babies of mothers who conceived less than 18 months or more than 60 months after their previous birth were more likely to develop autism spectrum disorder. The findings in the journal Autism Research didn't link overly long or overly short pregnancy spacing with other developmental disabilities.
