Women with fertility issues face higher premature birth risks

A study in Pediatrics found women who had difficulty getting pregnant were 39% more likely to have a premature birth and those who used reproductive technologies were 79% more likely, compared with women who did not have problems getting pregnant. Women who had problems conceiving also were 21% more likely to give birth to an infant with birth defects, compared with women who did not have problems getting pregnant.   Reuters
