Disability Employment in States

The National Governors Association has published a white paper, “States Expand Employment and Training Opportunities for People with Disabilities.” The paper summarizes key points from an NGA-hosted Learning Lab meeting in May 2018 and outlines the employment challenges faced by many people with disabilities. It also highlights the opportunity for governors to help people with disabilities successfully enter and remain in the workforce. NGA is a partner in ODEP’s State Exchange on Employment and Disability, which works with intermediaries and legislators to advance state-level disability employment policy.
