Are Technology careers a good fit for those w/ Asperger's Syndrome?

A Chicago-area nonprofit is hiring and training individuals with Asperger's syndrome to work as software testers, in a growing trend linking people with the disorder to careers in technology. Some characteristics of Asperger's -- such as high intelligence, strong memory skills and attention to detail -- can make the individuals good candidates for such jobs, a company official says. Others say individuals with the disorder also are drawn to jobs in technology, which tend to include less social interaction.
