Automated tool helps ease wake-up routine for child w/ autism

The father of a preschooler with autism has designed a new wake-up feature for a home-automation system that slowly rouses his son by turning on a favorite television program with gradually increasing volume. "He's happy in the morning. He's jumping on the bed. Before, he would throw a tantrum and we couldn't get him up," Mark Buzzard said.
