by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) experts & people with disabilities reported that the greatest barriers to employment
for people with intellectual & psychiatric disabilities are employers'
myths and fears about their condition. This group's rate of unemployment
& underemployment far exceeds the national average. The EEOC enforces
the nation's laws prohibiting employment discrimination.
