Parent files Complaint over Testing of Students w/ special needs
The mother of a South Carolina student with special needs has filed a complaint with the federal Office for Civil Rights questioning a requirement that her son take state standardized tests. Sarah Johnson did not permit her son, Mattox, to take the state exams, which she believed would frustrate him and interfere with the academic progress he has made.
