Research could improve teaching of students w/ dyslexia

Some students with dyslexia excel at character-based languages, such as Japanese and Chinese, because they are visual learners and rely more on memorization than understanding how to interpret the English language, researchers say. The characters also are more like pictures than letters, which students with dyslexia can more easily understand. Some say the findings could help improve teaching techniques for students with dyslexia, the most common learning disability.
