ADHD Symptoms in Girls Predict alcohol Abuse, Research Suggests

Data on 1,545 Finnish teens with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder indicate that inattentiveness and hyperactivity significantly predicted their alcohol abuse by age 17.5, especially among girls. An expert added that ADHD symptoms predicted alcohol abuse and dependence by age 14 only among girls.
