Tinted lenses may offer reading improvements for those with dyslexia

A type of tinted lenses originally developed for individuals with color blindness is helping improve the reading ability of some individuals with dyslexia. Developed in England, the ChromaGen Vision lenses reduce some of the visual distortions that cause reading difficulties for those with dyslexia. "He told me the letters stopped moving; they stopped popping out for him. He went from a child who hated reading to asking, 'Can we go buy chapter books?'" said Michelle Klinger, mother of a 6-year-old with dyslexia, who recently began wearing the specialized lenses.
