•Walgreens increases efforts to promote disability employment

The Walgreens drugstore chain is expanding its efforts to hire workers with disabilities with plans to implement a training program in all states by the end of 2013. The program, which is a partnership between the company and local disability agencies, is aimed at preparing prospective employees for jobs at Walgreens and other retailers. A pilot program currently operates in Connecticut, New York and Texas. Disability Scoop (5/21) http://www.disabilityscoop.com/2012/05/21/walgreens-nationwide/15665/
