Dog program aims to provide job training for students with autism

A program that uses dogs to help calm students with autism is now helping train some of the same students for potential careers working with animals. The Austin Dog Alliance, which provides social-skills courses for children with autism, is now providing lessons on dog breeds and characteristics as well as interview skills, and recently helped one student land a job at a veterinary clinic.
