More students with autism are attending college with support
Educators and parents say many students with autism need help navigating social aspects of the college environment, from classroom behaviors to dormitory living. "A lot do well academically," said researcher Edlyn Vallejo Peña, who is studying 35 families with children attending California colleges. "What they need is the social and communications piece."
