■Md. hospital launches job training for individuals with disabilities

Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Md., through the national Project Search program, is offering internships to help individuals with disabilities transition from school to work. Each student spends an hour in the classroom learning job skills and five on the floor learning how to perform a task, such as clerical duties. "It is more meaningful work. It's not the traditional jobs," said Michele Dilegge, a special-education worker in the program.
