During a March 10, 2011 White House Conference on Bullying Prevention President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama called for a united effort to combat bullying. Discussions at the conference centered on making schools and communities safe for all students. A new website, StopBullying.gov, was also launched to provide information on what bullying is and its risk factors, warning signs and effects.
